What We Do
Connection with the youth is extremely important, yet it has to meet them where their interests are. We try to offer a wide variety of activities in hopes of engaging every student in something they like or are interested in trying. All activities are free of charge so that no one is prohibited from attending the events due to cost. Food and transportation, if needed, are also available.

Activities
Activities can be on campus or occasionally in the FM Area. Depending on the month SkyZone, Acres of Terror, open gym nights after sporting events, Christmas parties, Homecoming bonfires, pool parties, theater nights to Gooseberry Players, weekly guitar lessons, or partnering with other local nonprofits to support Guest Speakers are just a few of the things 5th Quarter has done.
In-School Connection
5th Quarter space is available during the school day, in the High School Media Center during the student's downtime. The Coordinator spends the majority of her time there, connecting with students, planning events, celebrating milestones like birthday treats or 1st-time voter gifts, and running in-school promotional events throughout the day.

If you are new to our district, stop by the desk for a "New Student Welcome Pack" or the week of your birthday for a special treat.
CollaborativeEfforts
A collaborative community approach is key to the mission of 5th Quarter. Partnerships with the Cass County Sheriff's Dept, Central Cass School District leaders, other local non-profits, and invested community adults help to keep our mission alive and on track.
Community Connections
5th Quarter looks for partnerships in the community to expand youth's interest. Partnering with local businesses, community members, and organizations, our students have taken part in parades, demolition projects, volunteer days, and clean-up projects during Homecoming Week to name a few.

We are always looking for new opportunities to partner our youth with the community. Please contact us if you would like to discuss more!
